ME4 Techno Production Work Cell

The ME4 Techno Production Work Cell by Techno CNC Systems is a fully automated nesting solution designed to maximize productivity, precision, and workflow efficiency on the shop floor.

At the rear of the machine, a scissor-lift pallet system and intelligent gantry loader automatically lift and position material sheets for processing. Equipped with high-performance suction cups, the movable gantry seamlessly lifts each sheet and places it onto the CNC table with precision. Retractable guide rails and table stops ensure perfect alignment every time—no guesswork required.

Once the sheet is positioned, the operator simply activates the vacuum hold-down system and initiates the cutting cycle. The ME4 Techno Production Work Cell then takes over, executing precise CNC machining with speed and consistency.

When the cutting process is complete, the finished sheet is automatically transferred to a front conveyor table while the next sheet is simultaneously loaded from the rear—keeping production flowing with minimal downtime.

To maintain a clean and efficient work environment, the system continuously sweeps residual dust and debris into integrated collection chutes, ensuring the work cell remains clear and ready for the next cycle.

Finally, each finished component is easily identified through an integrated barcode labeling system, allowing operators to quickly label parts for accurate tracking and streamlined assembly downstream.

Features

Steel Base

All frames are designed using state-of-the-art CAD/CAM software which analyze stresses applied to the frame’s structure, also known as Finite element analysis. This state-of-the-art leading edge technology assures the support foundation is structurally stable that will last the test of time. Each frame is stress relieved assuring long term stability in the frame structure mechanics.

Tooling

The ME4 Production work cell includes an 8-position rotary carousel that moves with the machine while the gantry travels. The use of a carousel speeds up tool changes assuring faster cycle times increasing production capability.

Spindle

The Venture Series ME4 Production work cell comes standard with a 12HP HSD high frequency automatic tool changer. This precision spindle requires no maintenance, uses industry standard ER collets and ISO 30 tool holders. Fully programmable speeds from 6000 to 24000 RPM, and comes complete with pneumatically retractable vacuum hood.

 

Drive Train Assembly

Techno CNC uses new-generation precision helical rack and pinion drives with high dynamic performance and accuracy. These pinion drives deliver ultra smooth motion, power, and speed to the equipment. The helical pinion is directly driven by the digital AC servo motor with ultra-quite performance.  The result of this new generation helical drive is superior cut quality, accuracy and machine longevity. The ME4 uses THK 35mm linear guide rails designed for harsh environment. These bearings are automatically lubricated by an auto lubrication system

Drill Bank

The ME4 comes with a 9 spindle drill bank. All nine spindles are on 32mm centers. The unit is 3HP 230V, 3-phase “L” shaped drill pattern. Details: Spacing = 32mm | Number of vertical drills = 9 – (5) in X, (4) in the Y center is shared.

Vacuum Table

The vacuum plenum table surface is multi-zoned which allows the operator to easily switch from full sheet processing to smaller part processing, (which requires a smaller segmented area). Zones can be turned off easily via control valves on the side of the machine. 

Drive Motors

The ME4 Production Work Cell uses 1.5kw Yaskawa digital AC servo motors and drives. Connected via high speed Ethernet connection, this results in un-interrupted, high speed, ultra-smooth motion. Servo motors are directly coupled to precision helical pinions, thus providing high power directly to the axis drive.

Material Alignment System

The Techno ME4 Production work cell machine comes standard with a material alignment system. The material is centrally aligned with the machine’s origin assuring the operator does not have any intervention with realigning the machine’s start origin point

 

Rear Scissor Lift

The automation work cell includes a rear scissor lift which supports and raises the stack of material to the machine’s vacuum bed height, which is monitored with optical eye-sensing stack material height and machine bed surface.

Suction Cup Load System

The rear suction cup load system attached to the Venture ME4 gantry can easily load a sheet on to the bed surface. As it loads, it automatically sweeps the deck clean of any debris assuring a clean scavenger board surface for maximum vacuum hold down as it processes each and every sheet.

M.A.S Pop Up Side Rails

The pop up side rails keep the previous routed nest uniform as the material is pushed onto the conveyor

Conveyor Table

Conveyor table is located at the front end of the machine and allows for easy off load of material.

Automatic Lubrication System

System applies oil to the THK linear bearings and ballscrews automatically.

Control System

G-Code Interface

CNC Windows-Based G-Code Interface is included with each ME4 Production work cell machine and is an indispensable tool in any CNC Router application. It’s open architectural design accepts G-Code files from any industry standard CAD/CAM software package. The jogging buttons, speed controls and run displays are all visible on the main page. The intuitive single-screen design and functions are easy to use and remember. Customers that are new to automation find the Techno CNC Interface easy to learn and operate. Most are up and running in less than one day. Customers soon discover that just because the Techno CNC Interface is easy to use does not mean that it is not a comprehensive CNC program.
